This process of elimination leads me to believe the problem is software related. OEM disks usually just mean that you cannot transfer the license between computers. also if you did some actions (with VM or Parallels) before VM won't boot please describe it here. Bootpicker is useless, it just shows me a grey screen when I click on windows every time. You might want to erase the Boot Camp partition and start over. For other: if you have a problem with VM (not with bootcamp VM) try to restore boot information: - for XP use fixboot and fixmbr commands in recovery console (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/314058) - I knew, of course, that the Bootcamp installation itself would not be transferred, so that was set up from scratch.

Unless you want to take on the responsibility of a incorrect bios setting, stay out of the computers bios.History - I have lived through some of the worst disk losses. Looks like I have to do this every time, Mac can't do it automatically nor in the first try. V. Only turn on the connection to the internet when this is required and the internet connection off again when the activation is completed.
Now for the sticky part... I haven't done anything special.
